Such a Beautiful Park! They have accommodations if you want to stay in the park along with an Olympic sized swimming pool and the water comes fresh from the mountains! Although it's pretty cold but that's Perfect for a hot summer day! They have picnic areas so you & your family can cook out if you're in the mood. The scenery is Gorgeous and you never know when you might run into some of the local wildlife! This is a Wonderful place to visit or if you want to, to stay!
I live within a 5 minute drive from the scenic highway. This area is gourgous! It is a must to anyone eating to get out and adventure. I personally love roughing it and camping for a few nights.
Beautiful, and clean restrooms! No showers, but running water and flushing toilets. Great sites. Will go again, very reasonable rates.
This forest, and specifically Sherwood Lake, is a wonderful place to go camping. Sherwood is rustic camping, with water available in spouts throughout the campground, and electricity only in the bath houses. However, at least the bath houses have hot water and real toilets, so it's not completely rustic. Sherwood only allows non-motorized boats, can except for small well-received trolling motors. It's a small, quiet lake, perfect for kayaking or canoeing.
Beautiful scenery everywhere. From looking down in valleys, from the top of the mountains, to looking up to the mountains from the valleys. There's wild life to view. From bald eagles, whitetail deer, and wild turkeys.
