We absolutely LOVE Dr. Pennington. I couldn't ever imagine taking my children anywhere else. She is very good with the kids and they actually enjoy going to the office. Staff is all pleasant. The new building is so clean. I am very thankful to have Dr. Pennington and her staff here in Elkins. They have always been very good to my family!
Would leave no star if possible..I was 9 minutes late to an appointment and she refused to see my son! You're dealing with newborns here I should have been on time but this dr was utterly rude! I can't speak to her ability to treat patients but if this is any indication of her dedication to them I'd say she's disgusting! I only chose to make an appointment with her because of the distance to his original pedi I'll just make the drive to a kind dr who understands that sometimes things go wrong..granted I did call and say I was running behind and was told it was fine by her staff! Don't go here.
I wish I could give 0 stars. Her staff are great its the doctor that is the problem. 1st appointment went fine. When we went back was when her true self came out. We don't vaccinate for religious reasons and it would seem she either doesn't understand the 1st amendment or doesn't care because she seemed to think she could push vaccinations and refuse to see us if we didn't. That in and of itself was enough not to go back but then she decided to ask if there were firearms in the home. I politely told her I did not wish to answer that question she proceeded to get aggressive and demand I answer. I told her " A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the People to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. This appointment is over" and walked out.
